Hello! My name is Erika Barton. I thank you for visiting this page and for your interest in the wonderful things that God is doing in the hearts of His people! I am a 22 year old with a passion for Jesus and to see His message spread throughout the world! Last January, missionary Christopher Goins visited my church in Lebanon, Illinois and spoke a word. From what I understand, his trip was a complete step of faith in hopes that God would provide “gold connections”. Little did anyone know that after that, God would begin preparing my heart, preparing my circumstances, and creating a passion in me to see a pure heart of worship restored and imparted into God’s people.
After much prayer and consideration, I have decided to take part in a long term mission trip to Argentina this spring. The opportunity is offered by Christopher Goins and his wife Doriana Goins under their ministry “International Apostolic Network”. It will be a firsthand experience ministering and assisting to build up the ministry that God has prepared them for as well as a learning experience for me to sit under their teachings.
The mission of this ministry is to train worshipers, inspire worshipers, impart vision, and send them out to impact their communities. This past year, the Lord has placed a sincere desire in my heart similar to that of Christopher and Doriana. At this point in time, they are constructing an International Worship Training Center and have just finished one of the phases called the “Altar of Worship”. My purpose on this trip is to serve them, their family, and the Altar of Worship as they prepare and build this ministry by using my musical talent as well as my gift of service.
I am writing to give you an opportunity to participate in this ministry! Please consider praying for me as I plan to leave home and live in San Rafael, Mendoza Argentina for 6 months to a year. Pray for the new friends and new connections I will make in Argentina. And pray for me: for health and protection on the trip, for my effectiveness in ministry and ability to learn new things from this experience. Pray that I will find the financial support to make this trip possible. Pray especially that I will return with a real vision to share with the church in the United States.
Another way that you can participate is to support me financially. The amount figured for all of my expenses is about $1,000 per month while I am serving on the mission field. God has already begun to miraculously move on behalf of finance in support of this trip. I am trusting God to move in people’s hearts, leading them to donate. If you are interested in being a part of this in a financial perspective, here are ways you can donate:
Commit to a monthly sponsorship of amount of your choice
Make a check payable to Faith Church with “Erika Barton Missions” in the memo area
Donate via PayPal using the secure online method.
Your money will go straight to the cause of this trip. Whether you are able to give financially or not, please pray for me to be able to make my trip out in March of 2015.
Thank you so very much for considering me and the things that God desires to do in Argentina!
